       honest question, please don't get mad, but before we had police officers, how exactly did crimes get investigated and people brought to a court of law? i'd really like to know, as i fucking HATE the police, but really don't know of a decent alternative. boosts welcome!!

       @bachimusprime We did it ourselves, basically."Cop" is commonly cited to mean "citizen on patrol". That's pretty much how they're supposed to work (ideally, regardless of origins or anything).Police are just an organized and well equipped version of community law enforcement.As far as I'm aware. I'm not exactly an expert on the history and culture thereof.
