       Jumpscares are to horror as tickling is to humour.Tickling isn't funny. You laugh due to a reflex.And a jumpscare isn't scary.

       @imthehumanoid I totally want to create some kind of... well, naive art horror, you know? Reinventing the wheel a bit in a lot of ways.For example, I always thought most horror had darkness backwards. Humans are scared of the dark, the unknown and what might be lurking there in the shadows; so why does horror media constantly put the scary thing into the darkness? We're already scared of the dark.If I had to make, say, a scary Minecraft mod, I wouldn't put scary shadow monsters into the dark, I would put them into the light, forcing the player to go into scary dark areas to avoid them.
