       @libreoffice it was so infuriating when Microsoft was stacking the committee and bribing politicians all over the world to write themselves a blank check. That "standard" should be revoked.

       @libreoffice I found that export of ODT (extra Save As) to docx (2007) and import to Calibre to create epub gives Styles to HTML + CSS perfectly. Save As in later versions of docx results in broken epubs.Versions of MS Word (& older ones with docx added) aren't compatible.If you have MS Write Docs you need VM, emulator or old PC and MS write.Various doc versions incompatible.So I ditched MS Office in 2014.Some bugs since 2.0a not fixed.Don't edit doc/docx in LO as it's i/o conversions.

       @libreoffice Ugh, I knew most of this, this post still made me angry. Ok - most of the document.model.internals/file.import/export goo in Office formats have to be accessible in some standard office libraries yes? So lets write a program that batch processes OOXML Transitional to OOXML Strict (without having to open each one in an actual Office program - do Office programs still take command line paras? used to..).
