       i just replaced the keyboard and speakers of my wife's 2023 MacBook Pro 16" and i have no idea what the flying fuck the white shit inside both speakers (between the tweeter and sub elements) is. some sort of sound isolation stuff? i cannot find any documentation of this stuff.the speakers are closed assemblies so this wasn't just a case of somebody just throwing a shitload of flour into her computer. plus the powder more resembles very tiny pellets

       @xan I’ve seen that inside mobile phone speakers, it’s acoustic damping stuff I believe? Makes it sound better supposedly, but I’m not an audio engineer :neocat_laugh_nervous:
