       @icedquinn@blob.cat Bluskey seriously would've ended up just like T2/Pebble and Cohost if not for scoring the VC money glitch. Its software has solid ideas and has thr decency to let me opt-out of personalized algorithms but misses the mark (Ex: 300 characters is nothing), and its dev team is literally the same Twitteroid shit-scripters that made their old platform one of the most notorious websites then. It certainly would take multiple miracles from multiple deities for Bluskey to hold itself together once it has to actually monetize, as people also joined for the initial de-shittified experience and "but yuh Elon" is not enough for people to join what is becoming an equally shit platform. Really, whast made Bluskey (almost) work (until now) was that they were at least less fucktrash than Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook and more importantly secured much more funding than Gargron, Lain, or Syuilo of Fedi ever could ​:ablobcat_dancing:​

       @radmin @icedquinn as soon as i heard bluesky users say that's it's just like twitter before elon bought it, i knew it'd be ass, but because twitter users have shit memory, they forget how much they complained about bad the bots and moderation was, and now they feel comfortable being led by the same team yet again? make it make sense
