       Never keep a frustration about an app to yourself. Tell the dev, open an issue, or ping them.Open source apps only exist thanks to your contributions. As a dev, I personally appreciate your feedback even when you're upset about a bug or unexpected behavior, knowing I'll do my best to fix it. And chances are you're not the only one affected, so speaking up helps everyone.Never forget you're part of what makes it work.

       @appsHave been too lazy to register for this issue, but looked through the existing issues and nobody has reported this so far. There's a difficult to reproduce bug in Fedilab when a toot pinned by somebody else comes to be loaded to the top of my home it get's pinned there. Only workaround I found is to clean the cache.

       @snippetThat sounds strange because Fedilab doesn't handle pinned posts in the home timeline at all. Pins are only shown on user profiles. Could you share a screenshot of what you see? It might be a different bug (a post stuck at the top due to caching, for example) that just looks like a pin issue.

       @niniYes, I understand, that kind of answer is really discouraging. All I can say is that for the apps I maintain, I take every report seriously. I'm the developer of the projects, so coding help is welcome, but telling users to code it themselves if they want a fix or a new feature doesn't make sense to me.

       @apps I feel like a great way of doing this is having a button built into apps to "dm the developer" so people don't have to go to github and file an issue

       @appsHere you go. These screenshots are difficult to interpret because my screen is small.First shot shows a toot by revpermanente29 at the top of my home. Note the pinned sign.Second shot shows the profile of revpermanente29 with the same toot pinned, obviously as intended by revpermanente29.Third shot shows my home with the toot following that by revpermanente29: a toot by unconventionalemma from 16:05.Fourth shot shows my home after more toots have loaded. The toot by revpermanente29 is still top (pinned to my home), now followed by a newer toot from markhburton.
