       proctoring an exam and preparing with a colleague for it yesterday brought up some fun maya lore from like 6 years ago.for our software & computer networks class, the professor brought up the RSA algorithm and how it used to be export controlled and how that was defeated by printing stuff on paper. the math behind RSA was a requirement and would be at the exam, but of course we weren't allowed notes.the maya found it very funny to get the algorithm printed on a t-shirthowever, for the exam, the maya found it even funnier to get a  version of the algorithm redacted with blackout printed on the tshirt, in the same style as the original, with a black and white silhouette of the professor saying "wait, that's illegal" the professor and the TA at the time (the colleague that is helping us proctor the exam today) saw it and lost their composure (TA almost spit his ice tea out), and left us alone in the exam room to go have a laugh in the corridor for a solid 3-4 minutes...good times, albeit we kinda have to fuzz the self-image at the time for obvious reasonsposted by maya
