       @simonzerafa @cstross I've been saying the AI bubble is about to pop for over 30 months now.Unfortunately, even though you can identify when a tree is rotten, you can never predict exactly when a big enough gust of wind will come to finally blow it down.

       @bms48 @laetsgo @cstross @Zitron for me, the overwhelming impression is the bubble is inflated on the promise of many things that do not show any evidence of being realisable: AGI any time soon: chatbots that are profitable; improved productivity from the applications of Gen AI; sustainable energy and water sources for the datacenters required; a market in general that will pay enough for such services to sustain it all once VC money runs out / is shut down.
