Spouse is having a terrible time with "customer support" for his Nothing Phone. His charging port is failing, & he sent an email to customer service. He was told that he has a Beta test phone that has no warranty. He was not aware of this. The website mentions a 7 year warranty. The responses to his messages appear to be AI garbage. No one is actually reading his messages & the answers seem automated.#NothingPhone

He's got the Nothing Phone 3a. When he purchased it, he was not informed that it was a "Beta test" & was not covered by any warranty. (In fact, I don't believe that. I don't believe this is in Beta). This whole thing is giving "scam".#NothingPhone

In fact, I think using AI for customer service *is* a tactic of scammers. The point is to not have to assist your customers because none of their messages get through.#NothingPhone

It's fucking frustrating, because you think "small company. They'll be incentivized to look after their customers."Nope. If you have a problem, the response is "fuck you. We're not even going to have a human read your messages."That's absurd & infuriating. Spouse kind of likes his phone, but it's not very old & the charging port is failing, & according to them he purchased his phone as a "Beta test". No real human is involved on their end. Just a bot denying service.#NothingPhone

I strongly advise you if you're thinking of getting a Nothing Phone, don't—at least not if you don't intend to do your own phone repairs.#NothingPhone
