       I've sort of followed the story of an online couple whose baby was born prematurely and has had to stay in the NICU for a long time. The baby is doing well. They wanted to share with their viewers the very first hospital bill they have received so far (separate from the doctors' bills). The bill, before insurance, was over 1 million dollars. I have no idea how much their insurance will end up covering. They expect the doctor bills to come in at another $250k. My emergency room visit last year was around 10k before insurance, I think. The U.S. is so backwards. We have needed Universal Healthcare for like forever.

       As an example of how the U.S. "Healthcare" system w̶o̶r̶k̶s̶ operates, I have private insurance coverage, and this is the summary of claims and insurance payments for just two weeks. Granted, most of the cost was my infusion for Rheumatoid Arthritis, but you see how outrageous U.S. medical care can be:
