       @catsalad Not only have I had cats sit, lounge, or lie on top of me, one cat actually saved my life. Kitty was sleeping on my chest, when I stopped breathing. She meowed loudly in great alarm, to wake up my partner who then woke me up.

       Thinking of getting a dash cam installed on my car, especially after a driver today went right in front of me across all lanes of traffic without looking, to make a turn. I don't have a wifi enabled car, though. (It's older.) Do any of you have dash cams? Is it easy to connect a smartphone to the camera's memory?

       Thank you to every person who had choices about where to protest today, and still chose to add their number to a smaller protest. Sure, it's absolutely impressive to see Philly, Boston, Chicago, L.A. But what's really impressive to me are the smaller towns with enthusiastic participants. It's different when you don't have a big crowd where you can blend in. Granted, I would like to experience one of those huge crowds to see what it's like, but I will probably always prioritize the smaller communities deep in red territory. They might need me more.At any rate, I am happy for every person who is a part of this in any way whatsoever.        I've sort of followed the story of an online couple whose baby was born prematurely and has had to stay in the NICU for a long time. The baby is doing well. They wanted to share with their viewers the very first hospital bill they have received so far (separate from the doctors' bills). The bill, before insurance, was over 1 million dollars. I have no idea how much their insurance will end up covering. They expect the doctor bills to come in at another $250k. My emergency room visit last year was around 10k before insurance, I think. The U.S. is so backwards. We have needed Universal Healthcare for like forever.

       As an example of how the U.S. "Healthcare" system w̶o̶r̶k̶s̶ operates, I have private insurance coverage, and this is the summary of claims and insurance payments for just two weeks. Granted, most of the cost was my infusion for Rheumatoid Arthritis, but you see how outrageous U.S. medical care can be:
