Wasn't AI making them 100X more productive? Or was that nothing more than some tech evangelists selling a bill of goods? Gee, who didn't see that coming??        The "100x+" productivity cope is weird since we haven't really seen anything in terms of programs anyone actually uses or likes coming out of AI yet. Same with the other "AI" - Actual Indians and their supposed 5 mil+ "software engineers"

       @gucciloafers @MCMLXVIIOTG it turned all the 0.001x programmers into 0.1x programmersin the absolute best case I don't think you can expect more than a 50% improvement from AI while actually understanding what's going on, and that only happens if you're working in a domain you're already an expert in so you're super familiar with what the code should look like. regardless of how fast the AI shits out the code there are limits on how fast a human can understand it. people who are shipping huge amounts of code are obviously not taking the time to understand itworking in a domain you're familiar with but not a rock solid expert? I doubt there are any real gains. the code is created faster but it takes longer to understand it than if you wrote it yourself so maybe it's a wash. downstream readability takes a hit because instead of writing code in your own familiar style, you're stuck with whatever the AI doesin domains you're unfamiliar with, using AI for anything important is just insane. you have no ability to assess anything it's doing. "I tested it and it worked" is not good enough

       This is the input to output ratio of an agent I have spinning on some random bullshit toy I wanted but there wasn't a good Windows alternative for but don't care enough about to build properly.This is a single session to add a minor subfeature. I don't know how anyone using these for real work can stand them.

       just this week in a team meeting i got dressed down for my low token usage compared to my (retarded) peers and my X-er-one-shotted-by-Claude boss.I use it, but not for every single thing.Like I can read a console log, with my own eyes and brains. This nigger wasted 5 hours chatting with Claude and got no where with a simple issue.Pure madness.
