       @linear @insom augh of course, that was a bit insensitive of me, what a pain. i heard about it, thought "well i don't have any untrusted users on my systems" and forgot all about it

       @pho4cexa@tiny.tilde.website @insom@tiny.tilde.website personally, i have plenty of untrusted users - and applications, for that matter - on my systems. like the dedicated system users running most of the daemons on every one of my linux systems.i do not need cupsd or mdnsd or chronyd or Steam on my laptop to potentially be able to read my SSH host keys.

       @pho4cexa@tiny.tilde.website @insom@tiny.tilde.website i do already take efforts to isolate these things, but one of those efforts is running them under dedicated users (sometimes even Steam, but i tend to do that more under FreeBSD than Linux)
