       @zkat FOSS as a political movement is dead and gone. At most now, it's a practical decision about what I run on my machine and make available to others, but we need an actual pro-user pro-labor pro-art pro-environment political movement in computing, and stat.

       @xgranade @zkat I really feel like the venn diagram of pros shouldn't be that hard to have, and yet...So many weird "libertarian*" dudes, or "we're non-political**" stances, or "but we need it***" statements that just do not jive. *always white, which means "free to benefit from supremacy culture**this doesn't exist. ***this always means "we want it for free"

       @eldersea @zkat The "nonpolitical" one always has me seething. You can call out the racism and defeat it, but like... my nonbinary sibling in Lovelace, FOSS *is* a political movement, what the fuck do you mean "nonpolitical."
