       It's been a few months and I have a lot of new followers so, periodic reminder: I make extra capacity in my home lab facilities available on a best-effort basis to support noncommercial/hobby/open source projects who would otherwise not be able to afford them.Services are generally provided free of charge if they're not a major time/consumable commitment on my part, or on a cost-recovery basis for anything particularly large. If you're not making money from the project I won't take a profit either.Capabilities are constantly growing and currently include (but are not limited to):* Time/frequency measurements to < 1e-11 accuracy* VNA measurements to 8.5 GHz* Oscilloscope measurements to 16 GHz* BERT measurements to 25 Gbps* Large-area CNC optical microscopy* IC decapsulation and simple wet etch deprocessing* Metallographic embedding and basic cross section polishing* Basic wet chem for sample prep* UV-VIS-NIR transmission/emission/reflection spectroscopy* Advanced PCB rework (inner layer circuit edits etc)* High core count/memory computing (up to 64 vCPU / 384GB RAM fairly easily, 128 vCPU / 512GB RAM if I trust you enough to run the thing outside a VM)There's probably more things I'm forgetting to mention but I think this is most of it.EDIT: I almost forgot, EM field simulation in Sonnet

       @dysfun Xeon 8362. One in the VM server, one in each of the lab workstations, and two in my office workstation.Microscope bench workstation has 128 GB RAM, soldering bench 256 GB, office workstation and VM server 512GB each.So they're all the same but should have AVX512 and kin.

       @dysfun (I have a few other servers in the storage cluster that are less "big iron" and basically just a bunch of NVMes hanging off a connectx6, but there's not enough compute to be worth using them for anything else)

       @dysfun Basically the VMs I can host in my lab are roughly equivalent spec wise to an AWS C6i.large to c6i.16xlarge instance, except:* Internet facing bandwidth is limited by my Comcast business pipe, so ~500M down x 35 up* LAN-facing bandwidth is limited to 40 Gbps until I get a switch with more 100G ports and some 100G QSFPs to put in the NIC* Since my VM server has only 32 physical/64 logical cores in a single socket vs the dual sockets on the AWS hosts, I can't offer the equivalent of a c6i.24xlarge or c6i.32xlarge instance CPU wise. And a c6i.16xlarge would compete with my other workloads for CPU resources and need to be coordinated carefully to avoid blocking them* I have 512GB of RAM rather than 256, so I can offer significantly more memory capacity than the corresponding AWS instances* I can offer PCIe passthrough GPUs which the C6i's lack

       @azonenberg okay, that chip's got almost all the avx512 that's sticking around (it came up as ice lake).got any odd stuff perchance? one of the things that's a little difficult to get access to is SVE2 BITPERM (although a friend found his phone supports it?!)

       @dysfun Yep it's icelake.I have one sapphire rapids box but it's my core router and I don't have an easy way to safely run other people's test projects on it.

       @dysfun Makes sense. Well if you have stuff that an 8362 could help with, I could probably either set you up with dedicated remote access to a test VM if it's an ongoing thing, or for occasional/one-off just spin up one of my existing sandboxes and launch the job myself manually.

       @azonenberg@ioc.exchange Hey. You posted your public keys, and despite you deleting them, they are still available due to federation being slow. I'd recommend contacting a lawyer immediately, because they are incredibly easy to get.

       @lyrial the ssh public key hashes of the stock firmware? that was very intentional so people can look for them on other hardware and i didn't delete the post

       @azonenberg@ioc.exchange Well, that's weird. I tried to comment there, but it seemed to be deleted and I could not interact with it at all after quickly copying the keys. It could be a federation issue.
