       Feeling frustrated with what I can find on #permacomputing. It seems very focused on assembly and forth and not supporting GC languages like scheme and lua. There should be a middle ground for writing portable code between electron bloat and writing in assembly.

       @tealturtle lua could become a stable platform someday, but between it breaking API between release, the lack of compatibility between implementations(esp with luajit), lack of portability of bitwise operators, etc.. It might be a while, but it's good that you are interested in exploring what lies in that gap, there isn't enough of that around. There are some better more stable and robust candidates outside of forths and assemblies worth looking into!

       @tealturtle It's not prescriptive, so if you have cool plans for low-resource lua systems, I say get talking and let's see what comes of it.
