@winterklaus @coolbean @fiore @salt I was just about to say that I think conceptually pirates have a lot of potential because historically they were really fucking interesting in terms of being like proto-anarchist decades before the French Revolution. this was in fact the thing that inspired Burroughs to write Cities of the Red Night aside from also presumably growing up reading pulpy pirate novels and comics. but they also have too much pop cultural acclaim for their own good.we need like a Kurosawa esque three hour epic about Libertalia
