       Apparently, I'm writing a BSDL parser in Rust.Know of any permissively licensed BSDL files I can ship with the parser for unit test purposes?I've got a whole bundle of them including every Xilinx device with JTAG from XC4000 to Versal but none suitably licensed.

       @dlharmon you could probably write one without too much trouble but all of the ones I've seen, despite being freely downloadable, have restrictive termss attached

       @dlharmon i suppose one approach is to have a bootstrapped script that wgets a free-as-in-beer bsdl from a vendor that isn't login walled but you can't redistribute?

       @whitequark @dlharmon the enforcement of the terms is an orthogonal issue but finding one without encumbrances in the first place would be ideal

       @whitequark @azonenberg Interesting thought. Cologne Chip (Germany) doesn't have a copyright statement on their BSDL for Gatemate so that may be the case.I may end up editing that as a base for a fake test BSDL probably with a DEC or Cray JEP106 code.

       @whitequark @azonenberg They actually do. Vscodium was hiding the first line from me when I did "$ more ccgm1a1_fbga324.bsd".I'm just going to make up a fake file.

       @unlambda @dlharmon @whitequark on that note, have the open silicon folks made a good free jtag tap / boundary scan ip yet? If not maybe that's something i could do as a tiny tapeout project to learn the tooling
