       @dj2mn I have a specific interest in making .ofx plugins for video effects.  These can be really expensive so this would be a help to many. But I don’t have a clue about vibe coding. Even though Gemini tried to explain how to do this 😀

       @lardmotel @dj2mn Setting up app level preferences & project level instructions is the key to get it to behave how you want. I’ve created a ‘Workshop’ project for learning and refining my setups and workflow.

Chat memory decays like dementia. Wrap up chats before they get too long, and save detailed summaries at the end of each session, along with relevant docs. Claude will refer to these rather than the chats.

Ethics - I know. But this tech is unlocking my brain in a way that is irresistible.

       @dj2mn @0mnishambles I’m not capable of building my own install, but using specific online tools for creating 3D objects, loading them up into a modeller and carving away at the bloat. As for ‘advice’ it’s Gemini over here. It just explained how to share HomeKit without the ‘go buy an AppleTV’ bs that apple was farting at me. Writing, music, design … I don’t need help. I’m kind of interested in making video that is in no way realistic or representative. Thwarting the idea. #ai

       I’ve tried holding off from paying for Claude (preferring to beat my head against local models), but is it really that good? (“They” say it’s great but I’ve no idea who “they” are, or their actual competencies… you guys i trust the opinions of more (than “them” 😉))

       @rasur I use Gemini because it was the first one that knocked on the door and asked for a job, no pay.Apart from that I use whatever is tuned for the job at hand.
