       @cwebber Every time I hear the "left behind" trope from that crowd I think of an old single panel cartoon with a whole swarm of lemmings running off frame while one calls back to a hesitant straggler something to the effect of "I don't know where we're going but you don't want to be left behind!"And since most contemporary association of lemmings and cliffs is because of dudes in a helicopter making good footage for a Disney documentary, further extrapolation is not far behind.

       @cwebber @cwebber feels very much like the cities who didn't embrace cars who were going to be left behind, only to find that now those cities are so reliant on cars (and the price of oil) that they're fragile and unmaintainable.

       @cwebber Awesome.Could I be "left behind" sometime between Pearl Jam Ten was released (1991) and before Google was founded (1998) please. I don't mind getting older but I'm not sure about (waves hands) all this.
