@sand @p People have their theories about at what point mobile phones started taking over from computers, but the dissapearance of copypastas/ascii art from the popular internet is one indication I picked up on, and I never hear people point that out: it used to be EVERYWHERE, it was basically spammed in YouTube comments. Then I remember it basically dissapearing overnight.

@sand @sicp The Unicode Consortium ones are soulless and designed by a committee and completely artless and bland. "Click this button to select a feeling from a list of feelings and then use the ethnicity modifiers." I have removed all of the fonts that show them from my machine. But the ones like :terrysmoking: and :alexjonescrying: and :godemperor: and :audreysplaining: and :smug2: and :srsly: and :jahydancing: and :icame: are wonderful and I love all of them.gunemoji.jpeg

I wanted to add some markup on here that'd let you use certain fonts specifically for Japanese Shift-JIS art but I'm too lazy to fuck around with making Pleroma do custom tags.I like emojos:kuribop::nonfree::spazcat: on here but I'm not a big fan of standard emojis either. The Unicode Consortium was a mistake.

FSE removed it because Unicode Consortium but replacing them with real emoji (that is, the Japanese ones before the word was used by honkeys to mean the terrible cursed codepage and its modifiers, like くまくま━━━━━━ヽ（ ・(ｪ)・ ）ノ━━━━━━ !!! and ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ and (´▽｀)ヾ and (°ヮ°) and ( ^ω^) (≧ _ ≦) (°ω° ) and what-have-ye) would be a blessed activity.
