       @moof Note that the car manufacturer has a diaeresis in their name which indicates the pronunciation is different from the fruit. This ‘trema’ is a feature the Dutch and French language share.

       @smveerman @moof Great pub quiz trivia: the company _is_ named after the fruit, kinda.Its founder, André Citroën, was born André Citroen.And André’s grandfather had previously changed surname from Limoenman to Citroen.
