       @moonrabbit no, I haven’t. I could see it spreading but I generally don’t have a skin allergy response and I don’t get a rash everywhere that is exposed to the sun. It’s usually my neck, chest, upper back and arms, but not my face or hands

       @irene thank you. this is weird in that it's in some sun-exposed areas and some not. but also, like you say, there are some places it doesn't happen at all (yet). i hope yours isn't too awful.

       @moonrabbit yeah I would guess that since it’s an allergic reaction, it’s radiating to other part of your body and triggering the histamine response. Like how people eat something and break out in hives. This is the dangerous time of year for me because I live in the PNW and the lure of the sun is a shock to my system. Combined with my other spring allergies, I have to cover up if I want to go outside.

       @irene that's pretty much where my thoughts ended up too: mast cell cascade. sigh. i was only out for about 20mins today — only about 5 actually with sunlight on me — and only with a wee bit of my forearms (and hands and face, i suppose) exposed, but it all still got worse everywhere. i wish you good coverage. and an easy summer ahead. here (sw france) it's already way too hot and sunny, so it bodes for the next few months rather. i'll be praying for rain for a multitude of reasons. take care, and hooray for hats and sleeves.

A fried who’s also a doctor told me that me itching all over in the garden is likely not surface allergies and only to a very small part things like grass mites, but the systemic reaction from having acquired a few mosquito stings over the last days combined with normally very mild sensations of wind/sun…
