       i've been feeling like ai techbros have been given carte blanche to launder the licenses off all the world's code, and maybe this means that copyleft -- the only tool i know of that attempts to protect open source -- is obsolete and useless now. copyleft only functions when copyright doesso to see the only good organization that defends copyleft itself say, "let's welcome people who patronize and defend ai companies?" wow that feels super badEternal November

       i won't go on too long about this, lest i be accused of "not reading until the end," and i'll take my comments to their synchronous, scheduled, discussion time, if i can find the time to do so, i guess, buti disagree with the core analogy of the post, that students without a lot of experience newly joining the community of leet haxors in 1993 and every september onward are comparable in any way to people who have embraced ai tools while ignoring all the damage that comes of it
