       So, this person on linked in contacted me and asked if I can have a look at their cryptographic protocol for a “sanity check” at a fixed price of 500€.So, to any freelancers out there, how many hours of work would 500 roughly equate to? (My gut feeling is really not much, given that this is before taxes and at the end of the highly qualified work; then again, I don’t have a job right now and wouldn’t mind some money…)The thing is, it easily takes a full day to understand such a protocol, especially if I have to read up on related topics, and I believe that the rate that TU/e charged industry when I was a PhD candidate (as opposed to finished PhD), might have been something like 100€ per hour or more…

       @Fiona sounds like a scamas for a hourly rate: depends on your gender, and geographical location, not to mention rand();
