       Predictable network interface names strike again. Removed a 10G NIC from a box and the 100G NIC that was enp27xxxx is now enp26xxx because PCIe enumeration changed

       @geerlingguy yeah this is a storage cluster node. It had a 10g nic, i added a 100g, once i verified it was good i removed the 10 and then the name of the 100 changed

       @azonenberg tbh any permanent interface on my systems gets a udev rule that matches on mac address and gives it a human-readable name (e.g. laptops have wlan0, eth-onboard, and eth-dock)

       @emily i should probably start doing that but for single nic systems it's not a big deal to edit /etc/network/interfaces if i swap it. Just a mild nuisance
