       @elilla ...well, presumably, *someone* was ensuring safe passage for the chinese tankers through the strait during the blockade, the answer would probably lie with how they managed to do that

       @elilla @estelle I can't imagine tankers just hoping for luck; they wouldn't try to pass the strait unless there were 100% guarantees that they won't hit a mine or won't be damaged in any other way.
