       @halla the biggest issue with llms, and genai more widely, is that it removes the humanity from everything. we should not let this technology stop us from expressing ourselves in fear that it might get regurgitated by themwe should keep being ourselves and expressing ourselves. they may be able to strip the humanity from everything, but they can't stop us from being human! ​:neocat_heart:​

       @lumi Yes... What I like about painting is the sketching, the thinking, the exploring, the painting, the details, seeing things come together. Fixing up after varnishing, yeah, not so much.What I like about coding is the thinking, the scoping, the writing, the problem solving, the fitting to purpose -- the code review of another's code, not so much. As long as that makes the other better, okay, but I only provide that service to _humans_.

       @halla yes! i actually am still a beginner at drawing and such, but i want to learn more :3i feel like code review (with a human) has another purpose: social connection. it can be very rewarding to have a back-and-forth like that with someone else

       @lumi Back whenever, there was this fad called "pair programming". Two people would share a keyboard, and they'd code together.It sounded like hell to me. But when I did that at my then-employer Tryllian with brilliant colleages, it just made us hit the roof.It was great... We had fun, we were creating the code we'd been asked to create faster than we'd been able to otherwise.Since then, I've done this often, and it always worked. People work together..

       @lumi Of course, at that company, after restructuring, it was prohibited, but I've done this time and again, especially after focussing on #krita No need to be formal about it, like assigning roles, just work together -- two people who mesh, one keyboard, one screen and voooom...

       @halla i have never done pair programming before but it sounds like it could be fun :Di feel like the human aspect of everything is what gives it meaning. without the humanity, there is no meaningbeing able to point at things and know a human, at some point, thought of it, is just super cool
