       okay, may as well reveal what instance fae plans to migrate to - snug.moe ​:sylveon_uwu:​fae wanted to migrate to an akkoma instance, but well, fae had a realization that akkoma's search kinda sucks, which fae the choice for faer somewhat obvious - go with iceshrimp instead ​:sylveon_happy:​this will be done later, when fae stops being sick pretty much :3

       @fiore yeah, absolutely, albeit currently snug.moe is iceshrimp-js ​:sylveon_uwu:​definitely planning to use akkoma-fe once the instance migrates to .net, but admittedly part of why fae wants to migrate away is that akkoma-fe is kinda janky currently on .net, even if it works, and fae currently uses akkoma-fe (future releases of .net may fix a lot of the issues fae experiences)

       @lukyan yeah, mastodon very much insists on quote controls, and won't show quotes (other than self-quotes) from software that doesn't support them ​:sylveon_sad:​this limitation is quite easy to remove when self-hosting mastodon, essentially in app/serializers/rest/status_serializer.rb, the following lineobject.quote if object.quote&.acceptable?should be replaced withobject.quotefae didn't test whether that would work, but fae thinks it should ​:sylveon_uwu:​
