       Hrm, things seem mostly fine after re-seating everything (several times)?Though for some reason the system doesn't display a console either when I swap the two MBus CPU boards...

       Not much to show, but I'm running out of time for tonight..So at least I now have a NeXT gcc 2.7.2 on this sparc Solaris machine. Not sure I will be able to make use of it for anything even remotely interesting 😉

       Ok, after some swapping forth and back I now have at least identified the defective CPU of the pair.Nothing much I can do, maybe try replacing the five caps or something, and set up an ebay search...Now to find out (again) how to place the memory modules to get mostly contiguous memory, since I sure didn't take any notes last time I worked that out...(Don't even know if it makes much of a difference on a SS10...)

       Ah, yeah, each slot has an address range for 64MB, so 64+64+16 give 144MB in bank 0,1,2 and the other two 16MB modules I have (in bank 3 and 4) each sit behind a gap. I don't assume it makes a difference to the OS.
