       In the light of the ram crisis I propose we just start using outdated software again.512MB was absolutely OP in the times of Windows XP and people who design embedded devices in Poland manage to put 95 on tablets on train stations anyway, we could just ask them for tips ​:neodog:​

       @witix@mk.absturztau.be 512MB is plenty for openbsd with i3 window manager. maybe firefox would be a bit slower, otherwise un-noticable.

       @brettm @witix if we reject the web platform, it’s easy. Links2 is a great graphical browser (lmk, does it have a Wayland backend yet? I think I will try implementing it). We just may need a more lightweight WYSIWYG word processor. For web platform, WebKit derivatives tend to be more optimized — and using mouse less helps dealing with bad performance, so qutebrowser (which can use either blink or webkit) is good.
