@brettm @witix if we reject the web platform, it’s easy. Links2 is a great graphical browser (lmk, does it have a Wayland backend yet? I think I will try implementing it). We just may need a more lightweight WYSIWYG word processor. For web platform, WebKit derivatives tend to be more optimized — and using mouse less helps dealing with bad performance, so qutebrowser (which can use either blink or webkit) is good.

Today I, passingly, feel like I am no longer capable of dealing with React codebases without agent-mode LLMs. I used to be. I still work with kind of React codebases every day (I’m a Java dev). (With those that I work with, I remain somewhat capable.)

It’s not a real article, just an article about current trends prompted as directed at a vague “AI developer“ who is torn between not wanting LLMs to be trained on what’s theirs code (an oddly wrong-buzzword-hyprocrite vibe coder) and hosting LLM blobs they trained themselves (experimentator / llm researcher / script kiddie). We had an idea for a weather app that would allow you to preselect criteria for notifications about worsening forecasts of extreme conditions — e. g. a notification that the forecast for extreme heat just got 1° worse compared to the last time you opened the app to see
