       > 99.5% is the lower bandi mean. the chart looks catastrophic because its zoomed in a ton.RE: https://techhub.social/@ironicbadger/116326155409620757

Github also has a lot of services. I bet this chart uses this methodology for aggregation:https://mrshu.github.io/github-statuses/Most of those services are pretty essential though (actions for ci/cd, API for integrations, PRs, etc..) so using the aggregate isn't entirely unfair. The graph is misleading, but it's still pretty bad when the big players really want 99.<some large amount of 9s>.I really preferred working at places that just self hosted source control and CI/CD.

@djsumdog 99% uptime SLA means like 3 days out of the entire year the service can be in a failed state.but in gambling odds i want to see people who engage in monetary gambling and would turn down 99% odds of returns.if society is going to collapse when a service dips for 3 days a year its too load bearing and probably needs decentralized.

@ironicbadger hmm, quite a few opinions on that chart ๐Ÿ˜€ tl;dr itโ€™s complicated. Most of GitHub services, until I left a couple of years ago were not on Azure.
