       in i.use.akkoma.btw.sylveon.social/notes/aju10pll8bk79z84, fae mentioned that fae was getting switch 2, and this decision was pretty sudden for faer ​:sylveon_happy:​in normal circumstances, fae wouldn't do that, after all, fae isn't even employed, fae has a lot of games to play already, so it makes sense to try to save money, and well, fae can be pretty patient, however the world is anything but normalfae is a pretty big fan of pokemon mystery dungeon series, however that game wasn't even announced, but considering how big of a success rescue team dx was (selling 2 million copies, when super mystery dungeon sold 1.22 million copies), fae has no doubt that a new pokemon mystery dungeon game is in developmentthe dev team responsible for rescue team dx released the mystery dungeon of serpentcoil island like two years ago, so it's kinda reasonable for faer to expect a mystery dungeon game in a year or two, and it's very likely that it's a pokemon one ​:sylveon_uwu:​but, okay, the game wasn't even announced yet, like fae has no idea it is even in development (even if it is very likely to be), or if it will be even good, why not wait to purchase the console when it will actually have mystery dungeonsimple, as fae mentioned previously, the world isn't normal ​:sylveon_sad:​fae was able to find a switch 2 for 1800 pln in a store, which is a relatively low price all things considered (in fact, few hours after fae made a purchase, that store increased the price to 2000 pln, which was the price it was at in other stores)switch 2 consoles struggled to sell due to a lack of system seller and a pretty high price, and nintendo expected them to sell a lot more, so they produced a lot of thosethis effectively meant that stores pretty much were filled with switch 2 units that stores had no idea how to sell, resulting in them lowering the prices, just to sell the inventory that was filling their shelvesthe thing is, pokopia is that system seller, so stores sell a lot more now, and they can return to normal pricesbut here is a thing, how long can switch 2 remain on normal prices?the price of ram in last 7 months increased 8.5 times, the price of ssd increased 4.5 timesthose components are pretty much very important for manufacturing consoles, and the price increases are absurd, likely to rise even further, and the impact of those increases is very visible - steam decks aren't sold anymore, steam machine was delayed to who knows when, and sony increased playstation 5's cost from $550 to $650 a few days agonintendo is currently depending on units produced long time ago, before all those component price increases happened, but realistically they will have to increase the price of switch 2, now that those consoles actually start actually sellingso, yeah, pretty much bought a console, just to not be stuck having to purchase it at much higher price, because well, fae would probably inevitably purchase it anyways ​:sylveon_uwu:​
