I don't care how big of a fan he is, I don't need a late night show host's fanfic. Everything Lord of the Rings related after the Jackson Return of the King movie has be utter trash. I had a few problems with the Jackson trilogy, but it's probably as close as one could get to translating the stories to film.

       I really try not to get mad about stuff like this. "It's just not for me, I'll always have the originals, etc etc" but it just seems such a spit in the face to the world Tolkien created. He spent his life crafting this world, and now people just take the things from it and use them for cash grabs and vanity projects. Things inspired by Lord of the Rings are fine, but just taking the characters and doing your own thing is as tacky as a Calvin and Hobbes pissing on *thing* bumper stickers.
