       Risky gambit in a job interview today. I was talking about common misconceptions around IP law as it pertains to software. One of the interviewers interrupts me to let me know the other interviewer previously worked as a patent attorney.Instead of backing off, I go "ah well I'll skip to my point then" and start talking about the limitations of software patents. With each point I make, the ex-lawyer starts nodding more and more enthusiastically.I think it paid off.

       god I'm so good at my career and it's tragic that I've been unemployed for 2.5 years.I really hope I get this job, it's for developing compliance software for the medical technology industry. The founders understand the importance of focussing on both accuracy and privacy, especially in this field.It would be a dream-come-true to not have to constantly fight to be allowed to work on correctness and security.

       @mayintoronto I don't know if they're neurodiverse, I think it's just one of those cases where like.A lot of the time people hate you for being autistic, but also love what you can do for them as an autistic person.And in this case the nature of their product just benefits even more than usual from those autistic virtues.(Plus from two interviews they haven't had a chance to realise they hate me yet.)
