       OK. If I get it right @delta relies on relays and (will) no longer support plain email IMAP boxes. This requires more dedicated software deployed and maintained for these relays. I tend to think this decreases the robustness, vs relying just on existing regular mail servers. Too bad, IMHO. But if UX demands it, I see the developers' perspective :-/#DeltaChat

       @olberger you can well use regular IMAP based inboxes and standard email servers.  It's the mixing of cleartext and e2ee clients on the same email address that is problematic since years already, as it caused a lot of implementation work on our side, and still not nice UX in some cases.

       @deltaOr you mean we can keep using IMAP boxes, but dedicated ones for Delta Chat, and aren't forced to use a relay ?

       @olberger yes, you are not forced to use a relay. Some people even managed to get push notifications working for their self hosted server addresses but it's not well documented how to do it.
