       How the hell is this not banned on #AnimalWelfare grounds? If a car race had that many drivers getting hurt/killed there would be a massive shitstorm (indeed, there are a lot more safety regulations required for #motorsport compared to 20-30 years ago)I've got no issue with folk keeping #horses as pets and #riding them at normal speeds (or even a bit faster if the horse wants to and its in a suitably safe area), but #horseracing increasingly looks like it belongs in dustbin of history alongside bear-baiting and poor-quality zoos and menageries..https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cd709jel19xo
