       I am in the incredibly privileged position to say no to LLM use in my projects. I have heard from many people who are being forced to use LLMs for their programming jobs regardless if they want to or if they are well suited to the task.SAG-AFTRA and WGA were able to fight this for other disciplines, it is quite a coincidence (ironic?) that software developers are both responsible for and suffering from widespread LLM deployment

       @soller i at least feel like resistance against genai is getting more widespread and i am hoping this trend will continuei also would love if we could all get together in solidarity, with all affected disciplines, and fight against genai in general

       @mitsunee @soller i understand the sentiment, but i don't think we have hit that point yet. we can make a stand against slopware and against all genaisentiment against slop outside of software dev is much stronger, and that will help us if there is a unified movement against it. so i feel we really should be involving artists, writers, translators, musicians, etcthe "ai" industry wants us to believe that all hope is lost, but i refuse to believe that. they are the unsustainable onesno-one can fight all battles at once. take care of yourself first of all, and pick your battles. it's fine to decide there are battles you personally don't have the energy to fight in. in that case you can try to amplify the voices of those who do fight against it, if possible. but you don't have to. just make sure you take care of yourselfmany hugs ​:neocat_snuggle:​
