       @skyfaller We do have a policy significantly limiting LLM submissions and allowing us to dismiss them without comment:https://github.com/pop-os/cosmic-epoch/blob/master/.github/PULL_REQUEST_TEMPLATE.mdIn practice, I would like to help users who use LLMs to human rewrite potentially useful changes for the System76 projects I am maintaining.        I am in the incredibly privileged position to say no to LLM use in my projects. I have heard from many people who are being forced to use LLMs for their programming jobs regardless if they want to or if they are well suited to the task.SAG-AFTRA and WGA were able to fight this for other disciplines, it is quite a coincidence (ironic?) that software developers are both responsible for and suffering from widespread LLM deployment

       Free software, to me, is about the perpetual freedom of human knowledge developed over millennia (not hyperbole) codified in source code. This source code has been a human output for other humans to build on, and absolutely qualifies as equal parts form and function, art and math, beauty and purpose. Throwing machines into the mix has always been possible, but I feel they have not created beauty in any meaningful sense. On the other hand, I have often been awestruck by the code of other people.
