I cannot stress how thankful I am to be able to afford shiatsu massage cushions. It doesn't replace the massages my brother and I used to give each other, but it's something. A good something.I've had a few good ones and some very bad ones and sadly price is no indication of quality, but getting a good one and having it last a couple years of heavy use, it pays for itself quickly. It's not for everyone by a long shot, but it's great for me personally.

I suppose since I'm on a new server, I should also put out my occasional reminder to build out a spice library.Spices can last a while, especially frozen. Don't clear a shelf, but when you have a little extra, pop for "psst..." brand if you see it. Cheap and the quality is fine. It'll give you the basics.Once you have the basics, maybe pop for something interesting. Good spices can make anything amazing. I have dressed stuff from a can into gourmet flavors without having to use much.

Seriously, SpaghettiOs are a favorite of mine for this. When I was low and just going to eat it cold out of a can, I forced myself to heat it up and spice it, and that did wonders for my self-esteem. It took little effort and the result made me feel pampered. And those noodles in butter sauce are a canvas to spice across. You can do the same with cooked spaghetti if you cook. Don't get me wrong, I don't have the spoons for it, but the same applies. It doesn't take much to make it amazing.

And while I'm sharing knowledge, have a recipe for amazing dip:1 medium tub of sour cream (the one that's effectively square in profile)1 packet McCormick brown gravy mix1 tbsp minced dried onionCarefully mix the brown gravy mix into the sour cream until almost even. Add onion. Mix until even.Done.Prep time: 5 minutesRefrigerate any unused portion (there will not be an unused portion)
