@kriive @brightneighbor Signal requires that you use Android or iOS in order to get Signal on your desktop. It also requires that you use a real phone number.Both big problems for privacy.

If I decline #whatsapp's new terms and delete it, and I'm in your contacts, but you accept the new terms, therefore giving #facebook my details, are you breaking the law? If you're in UK/EU I think you probably are.

@tulpa @urusan I think Notion ticks all the boxes apart from docx export. It's cloud, it's cross platform, it respects privacy, and it will do PDF and Markdown export.

This is very frustrating. I'm trying to #migrate a #Mastodon profile. In the new account, I set an alias _to_ the old account.In the old account, I then try to use the Move feature.Every time, I get "is not an alias of this account".I've left it 12 hours, I've logged out of and in to both accounts. Both accounts are fully active and email verified. Every time, the same message.Any ideas?

@kev @mike That's what I did (I probably just explained it badly). In my masto.tech account, I set my fosstodon.org handle as an alias.In my fosstodon.org account I didn't set an alias, just tried the move process.Maybe there's a longer cache interfering somehow?
