@mangeurdenuage @be and the "heads" of this movement against RMS have just as controversial opinions and views as RMS. one of them being Coraline Ada, which I personally despise their attitude, and they act worse than RMS when someone confronts them and say their proposed CoC is not good enough and shouldn't be incorporated into a project.

Google just decided to force the crappy Material Design version of Gmail on everyone, even those who were using the old HTML version.The MD version of Gmail is terrible on non-Chrome browsers.

How come I am only hearing about GitHub's invasion impact just now and not a month ago, when it happened? IIRC GitHub said nothing was compromised and now they said thousands of accounts were compromised?

@boilingsteam @fribbledom releasing half baked games for a premium price has become a standard now, unfortunately. the latest AAA games I bought and played so far were like this. and people still support this stupid practice.

@boilingsteam I started working at a company that's adapting to new modern technologies and I can say it's literally the same. unfortunately it's a trend that won't change anytime soon. big companies need money, the make empty promises, release a very minimal working product, keep promising too much and delivering less.maybe the games industry wouldn't be like that when your sexual harasser of a CEO earns $300mi and you can't properly fund a game unless you generate hype for it

@boilingsteam what about new reviewers? I, for example, don't usually review games on Steam. I try to write an actual review instead of just jumping on a bandwagon to negatively review a game. e.g. War Thunder, I wrote a negative review about all of my experiences and how it's become bad over the years and Gaijin was ignoring their players.how would you determine someone's credibility? Steam Awards?

@boilingsteam it's extremely funny and saddenning that businesses that build upon open source are actively steering away from it and try to justify it by saying "ohhh but people are using my software for free without giving back!!" - this is called being open source. if you don't like it, move away from it, don't trick users into believing you're an open source-first company, build a whole community around it then stab them in the back.

@boilingsteam how to prevent publishers from being predatory to game devs is one question I'd askthe other one, how much input does a game dev have on the monetization model. cite the example of ksp2 being a half baked game that wasn't even ready for Early Access and the company is doing the least effort approach to fix the game because they already made millions from selling an incomplete prototype. ask them how to prevent this from happening or if they see this as the trend on the industry.

@boilingsteam I don't want this deal to happen because Bobby Kotick will get a massive check as a reward for constantly sexually harassing women in Activision and making it a toxic workplace.and if you just ignore that fact, Microsoft made Starfield exclusive to PC and Xbox, not releasing it on PS. TES6 won't be released on the Sony console either.

@bonkmaykr besides, if they weren't really a far-right website dedicated to doxxing and harassment and even promoting violence against people, I guess they wouldn't have had issues with Cloudflare being their CDN.my issue is not that Kiwifarms involves someone I don't like. it's like believing whatever the fuck comes out of 4chan as true, even though they have a pretty huge history of being dedicated to trolling and spreading disinformation and misinformation.

@davidrevoy I think it's done in bad faith that 6 years after the incidents which Felix has properly addressed and condemned, that people are still trying to portray him as a bad person (unless something happened recently).bad apples exist everywhere, but I don't see how Felix is responsible for it. he has changed.
