here's two things to add, this olde fart spent 30 years in tech support for computers and netowrks, mostly commercial accounts AND my brother in law wrote (invented) big chunks of tcp-ip, in Canada, that became ARPAnet, to link all universities and libraries so that the "peace Dividend" could be realized .. cheers, companies don't invent or make things, we do.

Much of the internet can be detected at entry and exit points, regardless of if the messages can be "read". Privacy can be arranged but secrecy is almost impossible because the ISP "owns" the line up to the cstomer demarcation point, and likely the router itself .. ISP port scanning, let alone on it's own router ... trivial pursuit without a chase .. Anybody with a full node Monero thingy IS detectable, which may lead to reasonable cause to suspect, which may lead to issue of warrant(s) .. so much for nobody will ever know ..
