It’s sad but maybe things will change. Unfortunately I did not like the “streaming” capability that was added and I don’t think it was ever worked on. I use it for certain reasons and I enjoy it, but it has no reach. I don’t understand how you can have 600 followers and 2 people see your post. Boosting was made useless. Interaction has never been great. I’m on a private locals board and get tons more interaction and feedback with 0 followers.

Many things don't add up here. It's like a half-ass low-budget wannabe social network that hasn't caught on in ~12 years - the userbase is TINY - but they've somehow pulled in tens of millions in venture capital in the last ~5 years. At best it's like a lazy Kickstarter project where the developer gets the money up front and never really finishes the work, and soon the money will run out and there won't be any more... unless it's glowie-funded to be the next FB or something.

(our people or GTFO)- tech docs and source code- multiple client apps (must-have)- any centralized or "federated" weak links?- crypto scam red flags?- is it built around cryptocurrency? (dubious)- privacy, anonymity, onion routing (must-have)- is it simple? (if it's web-based, HTML, Javascript, etc, it's too complicated and insecure... we're looking for plain text, images, video, audio, that's it basically)- NOW try it, see if it's even usable- does it have a culture of good honest people? (if it's full of scammers, drug dealers, and pedophiles... run away)- does it have user-controlled AI filters and auto-categorization?- does it have a good gatekeeping system for groups?

Anything that works is worth considering. However, a lot of P2P/anon/privacy software to date has been created by subversive anarcho-communist hacker types for use in color revolutions, for example: Signal. It matters who creates it and why.People in rural hilltowns without cell service are building P2P wireless networks from the ground up for basic communication needs. There's some of that in my area but it's artsy liberals cobbling shit together with wifi. Somewhere, I hope, some good old boys with solid software and electronics experience are doing it right. I don't care if it's some tiny site or discord group, would be nice if the active users on minds finally got a grip and we all ditched this place. I stopped posting any of my real content ages ago.Always was suspicious about minds once I saw bot accounts and mirror posters up constantly instead of real users. There are many sites that do this in order to fake traffic. Dumb people think the traffic is real and post here not realising they're getting fake responses etc. or likes. The joke is though even for these types if the site is simply not active enough the fakery gets exposed quickly.Hell I've seen them pull this shit on dating sites extremely blatantly. I actually feel sorry for women who are clearly having their completely normal social media photographs stolen in an effort to scam people into thinking they're engaging with real women. This is the exact same thing.

There's one guy (a serious Godot C# dev) who I only talk to there, he's literally not on anything else.

I don’t use it a ton. Something in me rejects all the “work” needed to get ahead on an individual site. I stream to a bunch at the same time using stream yard so I will grow an audience of people not just followers on a single platform. It may not be the best way but I don’t like making a bunch of hollow posts fishing for engagement. I might actually start paying for the blue checks but I don’t wanna 😩😂
