@fatboy Just searched online where I got this information from but can’t find it. https://www.securemessagingapps.com states they use pfs and also still signals encryption. Should be good to go then!

@safiuddinkhan I switched from google search to duckduckgo a couple of years ago and never looked back. The few times I actually used google after ddg didn’t had the right answers for me, google was even worse… Probably because they don’t have a good search bubble around my interests.

@safiuddinkhan My biggest problem is probably Youtube… I even pay for premium because I don’t want ads on my iphone and TV. There’s just no alternative & „privacy frontends“ like invidious are just to much of an hassle…

@kev No worries… but could you guys maybe add a (external) status page for example under status.fosstodon.org ? That was the first page i tried to look at after I got timeouts because most of the services/websites I use have something like this.

@Gina @totoroot Its more like a hosted wireguard solution. It acts like a bridge between devices for NAT but the connections itself should always be p2p. I use it myself to connect to my devices at home or in the cloud - way easier than setting up und maintaining a wireguard server and clients itself. The need of a 3rd party identity provider to login is a bummer but head scale for example doesn't work with the iPhone app and of course needs to be maintained just like wireguard.

So I tested the new search engine https://neeva.com - after making an account and installing their safari add-on to get neeva to be my default search engine I saw that for every search I made my "normal" default search engine duckduckgo.com was briefly shown in the URL bar - I tested with a transparent proxy and my suspicion got confirmed: Every search gets leaked to the default safari search provider... I have no words lol

Anyone using their own domain for emails? For now I used my domain only for myself but I want to share it with a family member. Any recommendations (not self hosted) where I can:1. Use my domain and catchall for myself2. create mail accounts for family membersCurrently I'm using mailbox.org but they don't offer this.
