@kev I did check on multiple client but the website, and found out fosstodon was down, wasn't expecting to be up this fast . Got busy in configuring nushell on my fedora install and came back and it's up already . You're cool man!

@kev the hardest thing to overcome in any uptime metrics is being human. 😅 I put safeguards like no tomorrow on all infrastructure I design to prevent me from doing something dumb. But I can assure you, I find a way. 🤣No worries friend, we all been there. 😎

@kev No worries… but could you guys maybe add a (external) status page for example under status.fosstodon.org ? That was the first page i tried to look at after I got timeouts because most of the services/websites I use have something like this.

@vordenken It's not a bad idea in general (and I'll talk to @kev about it), but it wouldn't have helped in this case because the server wasn't actually the problem. Fosstodon was never down, just no one could reach the server. @kev is going to put up a post with more details as to what the cause was, but the TLDR version is DNS.
