So I tested the new search engine https://neeva.com - after making an account and installing their safari add-on to get neeva to be my default search engine I saw that for every search I made my "normal" default search engine duckduckgo.com was briefly shown in the URL bar - I tested with a transparent proxy and my suspicion got confirmed: Every search gets leaked to the default safari search provider... I have no words lol

@vordenken I mean, how sure are you that this is not a limitation of the way extensions are made on safari? just wondering

@joel It could be but what’s the point then? A search engine marketing itself as the true privacy warrior making this? There shouldn’t be an safari addon for this at all then
