I just had a grocery cart lock itself 10 ft from my car in the store parking lot, because I was a little to far from the store, so I flipped it over and left it there.I can no longer contain my rage at all the effort put into making everyones life more annoying just to antagonize "the bad people." I want to go steal the giant boulders they put downtown so no one could sit on the grass and use them to block rich people's driveways.

Hey @robinhood , have you ever used a fire piston? I'm playing with one because it seems like a cool camping/physics toy, and I've managed to make char cloth and ignite it into an ember with the piston, but I can't figure it out from there.I'm a newbie at retro fire. I can light a greasy cotton ball with flint, but can't figure it out with a tiny piston-ember thing.

Anyway, she was worried because this didn't make sense, weird secure boot issue, we ended up disabling it.Wait... she was already running a custom LAMP application in a VM, some academic research app from another nerd in her department for archeological artifact cataloging? And running updates from git, this wasn't a formally published thing? Still not sure I understand the "elf magic" problem, does secure boot integrate with anything related to kernel modules?I'm kinda fuzzy on the low-level stuff. But she was using virtualbox, and it looked like it built/installed some custom kernel modules or shims, but I think it still had to be a mainline kernel from canonical? No clue how a dist-upgrade freaked out a laptop at that level, and I'm a professional!
