       @elfin @unlofl I believe the red and blue flashing lights... are not legal to sell to anyone except cops? but I did get bike lights once from China and the rear light was the perfect red/blue police strobe that could have been used for this purpose. I never used it in that mode, was too afraid of getting bothered by the cops

       @feld @elfin I'm not sure about the legality of selling them, but they are DEFINITELY illegal to use on public roads or maybe even in public view.  You can of course use them for "creative purposes", like building a cop car on your TV set, or to get run over by a monster truck in the show, or whatever.I think the key is how sensitive waymos are to it, does it treat a small light like a cop car 4 blocks away?  Can a crowd of people with pen lights herd waymos?

       @feld @unlofl Ah, Those Lights are, in fact, fuck-all illegal to mount on a *vehicle*. In this case I'll be maliciously compliant and not use a vehicle.But if I have red and blue lights in the right spectrum and say ... Glowy Baton Thingies™ and they flash at the same rate, well ... *shrug*.Joke: My mother owned a Yugo And worked for the city as an ECO.
